60th Annual 2012 Tip-Up Winter Festival
The 60th Annual Tip-Up Winter Festival will be held February 3-5th, 2012.
Plans have been downsized for Tip-Up due to the weather. The Friday night red light ride and on-ice races have been cancelled. All other activities will be held.
Fishing Contest: 9a.m.-5 p.m. Friday; 9-4 Saturday. Contestant meeting is at The Manitou Bar and Grill, 110 Walnut St. at 9 am both days. Prizes for best pike, walleye, crappie, bluegill and perch will be awarded at the fish board outside the Manitou Inn at 4 p.m. Saturday.
Poker Run: Saturday, 11 a.m. - 4:30 p.m.; begins and ends at the Devils Lake Public Access on Devils Lake Highway.
Benefit Auction and Raffle Ticket Winners: Highland Inn; 3171 Round Lake Hwy.. Auction takes place at 3 p.m.. Winning raffle tickets will be drawn at 4:30 p.m..
Snowflake Family Fun Fest * February 4th
The Land & Lake Ladies Club 2nd annual Snowflake Family Fun Fest kids' carnival will be held Tip-Up Weekend, at the Rollin Township Hall on Saturday, February 4th from 10 a.m. - 1 p.m.
House of David Museum Grand Opening * July 2, 2011
The grand opening of the House of David Museum at 110 E. Main St. in downtown Addison was marked with an open house from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday, July 2, 2011.
The House of David Museum is dedicated to a religious colony, a faction of Christianity called the House of David. The colony grew to nearly 4,000 members during its 70-year history and boasted a public resort and national baseball team before it closed in 1973.
Amish work crews spent more than two months restoring much of the 105-year-old former store building in Addison, said curator Chris Siriano. Siriano, who has been curator since 1997, moved the museum and more than 10,000 items from its former location in Benton Harbor to Addison over the past six months.
The museum will be open from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday and 10 a.m. to 2 p m. Saturday. Group tours are also available with advance notice.

Men's Club Water Festival * July 2, 2011
Saturday July 2, 2011 was the date for the Devil's and Round Lake's Men's Club's Devils Lake Water Festival. Events included a pontoon boat parade, boat poker run, and sand bar volleyball tournament.
